John Evans’ Sons provides complete custom spring manufacturing capabilities, from design engineering and rapid prototyping through in-house tooling, production, and finished mechanical assemblies, at our 65,000-square-foot facility in Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
We don’t just manufacture springs; we engineer precision motion solutions. Whether you’re solving for tight tolerances, extreme environments, or demanding performance specs, our team supports the complete lifecycle of your product in partnership with engineers, OEMs, and purchasing teams.
Our Capabilities. Custom-Engineered Solutions. Proven Performance.

Every capability starts with a fully staffed engineering department. Our engineers use proprietary and commercial spring design software to evaluate your application, recommend spring configurations, and review specifications alongside your design team before a single coil is formed. Involving our engineers early reduces development cost, shortens lead time, and often reveals whether a standard spring, custom design, or complete assembly is the right answer. Explore our
Prototyping is where designs earn their production release. We produce functional spring prototypes in specialty alloys including 300 Series stainless steels, Inconel®, Elgiloy®, 1074/1095 carbon steels, and music wire, with design iteration handled in-house rather than across a supplier chain.
Tooling built under the same roof as production means faster iterations, tighter process control, and no waiting on outside tool shops when a design changes. Our in-house tooling capability is one of the practical reasons prototype-to-production handoffs at John Evans’ Sons stay on schedule.
Beyond spring forming, our manufacturing services include CNC machining, metal stamping and forming, heat treating, and laser etching, allowing complex components to be completed without leaving the building. Fewer outside processes means fewer sources of variation, which is the quiet advantage behind every tight-tolerance part we ship. See the
When designs shrink, process control matters more, not less. We manufacture micro springs, components often smaller than a grain of rice, for surgical tools, wearable sensors, aerospace instruments, and other applications where miniaturization meets performance.
Many customers don’t need a spring; they need the mechanism the spring lives in. We deliver turnkey assemblies combining our springs with wire forms, stampings, shafts, machined components, and customer-supplied parts, giving you one-stop sourcing with one accountable supplier instead of dimensional headaches across five vendors.
Every capability on this page operates under a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D, and ISO 13485:2016, supporting aerospace, defense, and medical device programs where documentation is as critical as the component.
