John Evans’ Sons manufactures custom Torsion Leaf and Torsion bar Springs.

These are used to counter-balance heavy armored hatch covers on military equipment, including:

  • Bradley Fighting Vehicle
  • M1A1 Abrams tank
  • Various other armored vehicles.

These springs, generally stacked together in packs of 8–12 pieces, develop large amounts of torque in a very short deflection. We work with a variety of spare parts contractors including OEM and Defense.
